We’re always thrilled to see more businesses off We’re always thrilled to see more businesses offering vegan food but that’s especially true when it comes to baked goods!

If you get to the @rockfordcitymarket (open 8 am - 1 pm on Saturdays), you’ll find @monarchbakerymi which is offering all sorts of pastries like cookies, scones, macarons, cinnamon rolls, and more. The owner of Monarch Bakery, Abigail, added the vegan pastries after receiving a lot of requests. The macarons are alone worth the trip!

Another really great thing to note is Abigail’s understanding and respect for the vegan diet. She’s done her homework and is sourcing vegan-based sugars and food coloring.
They also take custom orders. Check them online: monarchbakery.com

We’re in South Africa! No doubt our priority is We’re in South Africa! No doubt our priority is seeing animals (we snorkeled with seals!!), but food is a very close second as it always is when we travel. @the_kind_kitchen.co.za is INCREDIBLE. Serving up #vegan comfort food, we devoured a corn dog, a tempeh reuben, a Philly cheesesteak seitan sandwich, and cheese fries. And desserts not pictured here because we ate them too quickly and forgot to take photos. Unfortunately, our adventure is taking us to the East which means we can only eat here once. #vegangr

Hi friends. As local restaurants open back up, we’re all looking for places to eat and it means the world to us that you look to the Vegan Grand Rapids Guide to help you find those places. The COVID-19 pandemic has thrown the restaurant industry into chaos worldwide and Grand Rapids is no different.

We do our best to keep up with information on who’s open and when but everything is changing so often. We’ll be reposting notices from places on our Facebook as we see them, but make sure you contact businesses directly. Please contact us with info you have to share.

Eating out is always at your own risk but that’s more true than ever. Check out this guide from the Mayo Clinic that includes safe dining tips.

Mask up, wash your hands, be kind, and please be safe!
